Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees and Power to Connect's Tech Appeal

This August, we're teaming up with Power to Connect, a fantastic Wandsworth based organisation which tackles digital exclusion, to get much-needed devices to local refugees and asylum seekers.

So if you’ve you got an old smartphone, laptop or tablet lying about at home and no longer in use, we’d love to hear from you!

Your donations make a huge difference and have a transformative impact on refugees and asylum seekers who now call Wandsworth home, helping them to access vital support (like English lessons and therapy for trauma) and stay connected with loved ones. We’ve written previously on our website about how each device tangibly changes the life of a refugee or asylum seeker living in Wandsworth.

While we’re on the lookout for devices year-round, given Power to Connect’s work with local schools we’ve targeted August and set ourselves an aim of delivering 50 devices to refugees and asylum seekers this summer. In the first week alone, we received 28 devices, and with your help, we’re hoping to redistribute many more!

If you’re able to donate, simply complete this form and we’ll sort the rest – from wiping and resetting the device to identifying a new home for your equipment. Any questions? Please do not hesitate to email us.

Thank you for your support!
